THE BIRTH OF BABY C

A little more than a month ago I was in Al Zahra hospital with this amazing couple from Brazil. The mum really wanted a "natural birth". She labored the whole day...showing us how strong she is!! Her husband and I were impressed at how she stayed so focused and managed the contractions for hours on end. At 8pm she got the news that she would have to get a C-section. It was heartbreaking as we knew how much she wanted to birth this baby on her own. But again she impressed us by taking the news with such grace. At 10PM sharp she was taken to the operation room...and I had the chance to meet baby C the next morning!
